Friar Tuck's now have a well established history since it opened first restaurant in Monaghan Street, Newry in 1983. The chain of restaurants is owned and run by the Downey brothers originally from Newry. It is the involvement of the Downey family members and commitment of our team of staff, which we believe make the chain of restaurants so successful. Since opening in Monaghan Street we have grown and are continuing to grow and are opening restaurants at various locations across the province.

At Friar Tuck's we are most famous for our Chicken Burger and Super chips. We bread juicy pieces of chicken in a renowned seasoning, a special formula of herbs and spices and lightly fry it to golden perfection and indeed it still defines the irresistible flavour of Friar Tuck's chicken today.

We have built a reputation for a quality and friendly service that's second to none so whatever restaurant you visit your guaranteed to be greeted with a smile when you visit us here at Friar Tuck's.
